But also the well-known cheese house nearby in Gunsbach, which you should definitely visit to discover the pastoral heritage of the valley and the production methods of our mountain cheeses. Also restaurant and shop on site.
For young and old, adventure seekers, the summer toboggan run of the Col de la Schlucht, 15 minutes from the chalet and also the brand new Markstein 4 seasons toboggan run.

But the valley is full of assets that make this destination ideal for nature and mountain lovers. You will discover our mountain lakes such as Lac du Forlet, a glacial lake surrounded by rocks or the nearby green lake subject to a hike between the lakes but also enchanted at the foot of the great Hohneck massif, the Schiessrothried lake. .
You can reach the high stubble via the Route des Crêtes (except in winter due to the snow cover) and also via a path from the chalet through the Frankenthal nature reserve.
Wonderful vantage points of the surrounding valleys and, depending on the weather, partly of the snow-covered Alps are then at your disposal, access to fantastic farms and starting point for wonderful summit hikes (snow field path)
